Basic Steps to get up and running on Allure starting from scratch, some people may skip the first two steps. If your unsure what that means then you should follow this guide from top to bottom in order.

   * Download and Install UO:
     UO Installer
     Read the next step before allowing UO to update itself.

   * Updating UO (alter path locations if needed):
     Go to this location:
     C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online Mondain's Legacy\patch
     Right click create a new txt file, and then rename that file to:
     uoml_win32_5-0-6d.rtp
     Next right click on the file, choose properties and make check to make it read only and hit ok. Run UO and allow it to update itself untill it get's to 5.0.6c at this point it should try to update to 5.06d and fail..
     If you did this correctly the UO Update program will read:
     Quote:
     Transferring patch information
     Downloading patch uoml_win32_5-0-6d.rtp( 139776 bytes )
     Downloading patch uoml_win32_5-0-6d.pat( 11 bytes )
     Downloading patch uoml_win32_5-0-6d.rtp( 139776 bytes, resuming )
     Error writing file
     Error receiving "uoml_win32_5-0-6d.rtp"
     Error during session
     Your client may not be the most recent version.
     You may be able to play the game with your current client.
     Check http://www.uo.com/ for help on resolving patching issues.
     Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.

     At this point stop and close the update program and your done updating the core client files..

   * Download the Allure Patch files:
     New players download this file:
     http://www.allureoftheunknown.com/patch ... sPatch.rar

     Current Players Download this file:
     http://www.allureoftheunknown.com/patch ... layers.rar

     Customs, custom hue's and muls everyone should download this file:
     http://www.allureoftheunknown.com/patch/Customs.rar

     *Note: Save these files to your desktop so you can find them!*

     Now unzip/unrar each of the files you downloaded above into your main Ultima Online folder.
     This is usually:
     C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online Mondain's Legacy\
     When asked to overwrite files, select yes.

   * Read and follow this guide for anything else you may need relating to razor, connectuo and various other usefull information Especially for Vista Users!!:
