Atlantis

Information leading to the rediscovery of the lost lands of Atlantis has come to the attention of this office. A Black Bandana Pirate was apprehended with etching of the lost lands of Atlantis. These lands had disappeared from our reach many moons ago. This new information leads me to believe that some how we will once again be able to reach the ancient beauty that are these under sea ruins.

The prisoner explains under intense interrogation that there is a business deal currently underway to trade certain goods from our far lands with a guardian race under extreme secrecy. This trade route allowed him to come ashore on the island of the guardians and further access to the gate leading to the ruins. Through this "gate" the prisoner claims he entered into a large Parthenon structure of ancient origin.

Using exotic equipment granted to him by the guardians (Goggles of Aquatic Sight, Lodestone Boots and a Helm of Water breathing) the prisoner was able to enter areas of the ruins and surrounding sea mount. Massive coral reefs kept him in a specific area and away from a further expanse that remains unknown.

The prisoner described a huge War Galleon Graveyard spread across the ridge adjacent to the Parthenon. He claims a fleet of ships, 8 to 12 in number, is sitting majestically on the sea floor. Amazingly he claims some of these hulks are in tremendously good condition and several he was able to enter and explore with some trepidation.

Upon entry to the old village he discovered that the once famous Telescope of Atlantis had collapsed into a sink hole and lay in ruins with coral atop it. He also noted that an apparently new mineshaft with some odd mechanism was sitting relatively close by. Where does this lead? Only time can surely tell.

The prisoner goes on to claim that the previous grand ship, HMS Tiernan, lost to the ravages of the sea some 3 years ago, is in fact partly buried in the silt of this very sea mound. The grace of God has spared the former beauty of the Atlantian village that few of us remember. The ship itself has begun to decay from the obvious ravages of the sea.

Lastly, with regret, the prisoner explained that he had found the remains of his very own brother. He was lost in a storm while returning from a run to gather treasure from an unknown cache. It seems that his brother’s resting place is among some rather ironic company. His attempt to reach his brother’s remains and its surroundings is what ultimately cost him his access and the trust of his business partners. As I write this he is thankfully grovelling for the saving of his life. I guess floating adrift at sea for a month with do that to any man.

This office greatly looks forward to the time when we may all walk the lands where this man has been. It's is also my hope that we show it the respect and honour it deserves.

Respectfully, Reorx, Dwarven Master Architect of the Trades.
